A New Director

Dear NeKaMo Friends,
     I am pleased to announce for the camp board that Krista Crank, “Kiskadee,” is NeKaMo Camp’s new director.
     Krista has faithfully served on staff at NeKaMo every summer since graduating from CILT in 2004 (except for the year she was in China).  She has worn many different hats: counselor, division director, assistant director, registrar, set-up and tear-down coordinator.  She has shown herself to be a dependable, well-organized, and mature staff member.  The board looks forward to serving under her leadership.
     I have been director at NeKaMo for 17 years.  It was a great privilege.  The Lord Jesus has shown me his faithfulness, his goodness, his kindness, and his sovereignty (he is the One who is really in control of all that happens at camp).  I have enjoyed working with many faithful staff and board members.
     What prompted me to step out of this position?  Everything has been running smoothly.  There was no personal crisis nor any disagreements.  It seemed like a good time to make a smooth and peaceful transition to a younger director.
     So what am I going to do now?  Well, I’m not riding off into the sunset!  Krista and I are actually trading places; she will be director and I will be registrar.  So I’ll still be around.  And I’ll still write some Bible Exploration and Morning Watch curriculum.
     Thanks for the opportunity to work at camp for so many years!
The LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
